Ads for La Poste Courrier International
Agency: McCann Communications
La Poste Courrier International is the French service for business mail around the world. They weren’t very clear about the campaign they were expecting. We proposed a corporate campaign, then a product campaign, but we didn’t get approval. The only thing we learned was that they were fond of comics.
This 12-ad campaign is based on the Shadoks, a comic series where the characters are the kings of failure.
On the left side of the ads, we took over the humor of these comic strips making fun of the competitors and their weakness using the sarcastic tone of “The Shadoks”. On the right side, we exposed the comparative benefits of La Poste Courrier International. This one-year campaign took place in a weekly magazine about international news called “Courrier International”.
